Sometimes, our children need a bit of extra support to help with their learning. They may have missed some time in school, are struggling to understand something, or find the pace of school too fast and need to go at a slower pace. They may be very capable but lack confidence in their abilities. They may have Special Educational Needs. I am Karen Lander – The Top Cat Tutor, and I am here to help.
I am a qualified and experienced primary teacher. I understand every child is different. Because of this, each of your child’s sessions is planned to be bespoke to them and their needs, whilst remaining in line with the National Curriculum requirements and using up to date teaching methods they will be familiar with from school. I get to know your child and work with them in a way that promotes confidence and enjoyment of learning in ways that work for them in a supportive, encouraging environment.
I tutor Years 1-7 in maths and English, such as writing, spelling, reading and phonics. I can also tutor other subjects on request.
I am based in the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, very close to the Herefordshire and Monmouthshire borders. All tuition is online meaning I can still provide tuition even if you live outside of this area.
